Language Arts
Monday, January 18th:
With the assistance of Ms. Hearn and Ms. Corbett we have begun to focus more on Guided Reading and Guided Writing, to allow students to work towards their reading and writing goals. This allows for much more small group instruction and more one on one attention for the students.
Monday, November 30th:
Students are working on Persuasive Letters to the Grinch, focusing on writing in complete sentences and supporting their reasons as to why the Grinch should like Christmas.
Monday, November 23rd:
Students are choosing their reading and writing goals to work on for the next few weeks. We will focus on these goals as we work through our literacy blocks over this period of time.
Monday, November 9th:
Students are setting into the routines of our Literacy Block. We are focusing right now on Working on Writing, Listening/Responding to Reading, and Reading to Self and others.
